Last night The Reigning Monarchs played the S.L.A.M. Magazine Mele with the punk as fuck Triple Bordego and Tora Tora Tora. The sweatered ones opened the set with a blistering FUEL THE JETS and closesd it with a stanky TIJUANA SNAKEFIGHT. The highlight of their set however was their soft to punk extendo verssion of their slow jam MR HIGGINS.  It's was night of maximum volume and daper decadence as the Monarchs tried to hold their own with two rocktacular young, but old skool, punk bands. Both Tora Tora Tora and Triple Bordego play shit tight classic punk with melody. TTT had a nice dollop of Dead Kennedys that made them great headliners, so catch them during their Doll Hut residency. Some Walking The Room fans (Cuddlahs) brought brittle and sad smiles, hot roller derby girls and their hot sisters came,there was awesome DJing by Jaymes Mayhem and a punk time was had by all. Unless you weren't there. Then your night sucked hot ass. I don't care if you went to see Prince at the Troubador.
